Book Review: New Moon

New Moon (Twilight, #2)New Moon by Stephenie Meyer

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

The beginning of this book almost broke my heart. Poor Bella, so in love with Edward, is set adrift when the Cullens leave to protect her because of an almost accident at her birthday party. She’s lost, lonely, and literally dying because she feels empty. Thank goodness for Jacob, who brings some sunshine back to her life. As long as she is with him, she feels a little better, but still not entirely whole.

Another brilliant novel by Stephenie Meyer. I love the simplicity of Jacob. He’s brilliant, and he is so laid back that he just handles things as they come. And he loves Bella. He’s drawn to her just as much as Edward.

I do recommend reading this novel (and the entire series) because you will find yourself picking this book up, reading the first page or so, and then you’ll emerge hours later, wondering why you are hungry or thirsty because you have not moved from your chair since you started the book, and now it’s finished. A definite must-read.
