Coming from a mother of at least three soon-to-be voracious readers (they can’t read yet, but they LOVE to be read to — the baby hasn’t gotten there yet), this book is a favorite. The kids love the rhymes, they love the illustrations, and this book is brought to me almost every single night to be read before bedtime.
I have always loved Dr. Seuss, simply for the creativity of it all. The way everything was set in an absurdly magical world but still taught worldly values always intrigued me. Even as an adult, I could sit and read these books over and over again simply to relax my mind and let the magic flow.
In my eyes, Dr. Seuss is one of the greats when it comes to children’s literature, and it’s unlikely to every change.
